Our Philosophy

West End Legal, LLC provides convenient and cost-effective legal services to members of our community. We believe that your interactions with the legal system should be as convenient and pleasant as possible. We conform to your schedule and we don't obsess about the billable hour. We believe it is more important to do quality work than to bill you more. We offer reasonable flat fees and payment plans for most services and offer free consultations.

We are different than other law firms because we are willing and able to help the clients who need billing arrangements that are different than those offered by most law firms. Most other law firms ask for you to pay their full retainer before they will work on a case, and then bill you against that retainer in six-minute increments at their hourly rate. When your retainer runs out, most firms then continue to charge you for the hourly time they spend on your case in six-minute increments, and you do not know until you receive your bill what the total fee for your case will be. In contrast, we charge flat fees for nearly all matters. You will only be charged the fee we quote you, no matter what happens, and we try to give you a realistic estimate of costs up front so that you will not be surprised later. Further, we make that fee more affordable for you because we allow for installment payments of your fee over a predetermined time frame. We will work with you to find a payment schedule that works within your budget. We offer limited legal services in some cases to help keep costs down, and can represent you for part or all of a case.

We keep your costs down by doing your work ourselves and maintaining technological efficiency. We answer our own phones and return our own calls and e-mails. We will never have a staff member doing the legal work on your case that should be done by an attorney, and we manage our own office and technology, passing the savings on to you. We can even keep your gas bill lower by traveling to you for meetings when required. If we handle your case on a flat fee basis, you never have to worry about being charged to call and ask a question.

We are experienced, self-sufficient, hard-working, innovative, capable, and efficient, and will strongly advocate for you in whatever legal matter you have. We are approachable, matter of fact, and up front with our clients about their legal issues and how they can go about resolving them.
